Who is Jesus?

Many families who attend our toddler group may have heard of Jesus but might not know much about who he is or what he accomplished in his life and death.

‘Who is Jesus?’ is a 12-week toddler series exploring different aspects of Jesus’ life and work. We begin with Jesus’ birth and baptism, including the heavenly announcement that Jesus is God’s Son, look at some miracles that show Jesus’ love and power, and finally hear about his death and resurrection, and what that means for us today.

Who is Jesus? can be used at any point in the year, but is ideal to use in the term leading up to Easter.

Each session includes a simple, accessible retelling of a Bible story designed to engage even the youngest listeners. Alongside this are suggested activities, crafts and songs to help children explore and remember what they’ve learned.

If you are not able to use all 12 sessions, we suggest either moving session 12 (Jesus is with God in heaven) to the start of the following term, or removing session 9 (Jesus is loving).

Do you have a wall in your toddler group room where you could create a display of the different crafts that have been made? This could help your group follow the journey as you discover who Jesus is together. We suggest giving a brief recap at the beginning of the storytime, using the crafts or a display to help.

This series is a wonderful first step in helping families explore who Jesus is and gives a great opportunity to invite families to church so that they can find out more about him.
