A script of a zoom bake along event
We offer this script for those churches who want to run their own Easter Bake-along instead of watching ours. To do so, you will need a baker and a presenter. With a few rehearsals, you could run this as a live Zoom event, baking, speaking and interacting with the families participating. This is the ideal, since interaction engages children.
An array of resources to celebrate Easter
FREE BARABBAS - AN ESCAPE ROOM FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY - Gather the family for a 25-minute online adventure! Aimed at families with 8-12 year olds, but enough to keep toddlers and teens engaged. Enjoy this series of challenges that will have you laughing, problem-solving, and working together. No prior biblical knowledge needed, perfect for sharing with friends and neighbours. Team up with others via Zoom and embark on the journey together, or challenge another family to see who can complete the tasks the fastest.
WEEKEND OF WONDER -This resource aims to encourage families to experience and enjoy the good news of Easter - at home, outdoors and with others - and give them confidence that they can open the Bible together at home.
The activities and conversation starters are designed as a taster to help families see that it is possible to talk about faith as part of everyday life. Perhaps this will be a stepping stone to encourage them to try out more resources.
Churches could use this booklet as the basis for an Easter gift bag for families. The bag could include a copy of the booklet, ingredients for the pizza bread, a luggage label and wool, letters for the hunt and a chocolate egg with ‘He has risen! Luke 24:6’ attached. You could include your own Easter card, with details of the church’s Easter services, or stick your own Easter greeting onto the front cover of the booklet.
ZOOM EASTER SCRIPT: THERE IS HOPE - This script is a series of short scenes designed to be easily adapted for your setting. You could use adults, children or family groups. Make it your own, and have fun! Zoom backgrounds for each scene are included.
EASTER ASSEMBLY: HOT CROSS BUNS AND EASTER EGGS - This 10 minute assembly uses familiar Easter treats – hot cross buns and Easter eggs - to explain Jesus' death on the cross and his resurrection. Two eye witnesses will explain how these treats remind us of the truth about Easter.
AN EASTER TRAIL: HOMES OF HOPE - As the first buds and flowers are bursting through, this is the moment for an Easter trail in your community. Get families walking around their local streets, following the Easter story - the only source of certain hope.

Faith in Kids hosts a bake-along video featuring Martha Collison guiding families through baking gingerbread men & women. This realtime baking lesson is interspersed with short all age talks explaining the reason for the season. Our hope is that some families will deliver all the ingredients needed to their friends, with an invitation to join us for our all age bake-along experience.
Through the wonders of the internet, anyone can join us from anywhere in the world. No tickets. No charge. No hassle! Get a Zoom watch party going to connect friends when we can’t sit, mix and taste together!
Martha Collison was the youngest ever contestant on the Great British Bake Off. Her love of baking has stemmed, somewhat unusually, from her parent’s relaxed attitude to letting a small child loose in the kitchen! Noticing a gap in the shape of freshly baked cakes and biscuits, she decided to fill it, and hasn’t stopped since opening her first recipe book, aged 8.
Ed Drew is the Director of Faith in Kids, which exists to help parents and churches tell children about Jesus Christ. As a child he learnt to make Black Forest Gateau because it was his favourite. That was a long time ago. He has never been filmed baking before, but how badly can it go?
